Eclectic Family Home

On the footprint of an outmoded house on a private lane in New Canaan, a family built an engaging new home that doubles the living spaces and blends traditional details.

To augment the family's personal style, Shelley Morris paired new furnishings and accessories with many existing pieces - reinventing them with new upholstery, finishes and placement.

Handmade rugs from Nepal, artful lighting, Delft pottery, African masks and contemporary art complement the mix of antiques and transitional furnishings throughout.
